Bobby Guthrie, First Certified Level 1 Accredited Interscholastic Coach by NFHS

Congratulations to Bobby Guthrie, City/County AD of Wake County for being the first individual in the country to be certified as a Level 1 National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Level 1 - Accredited Interscholastic Coach.

Individuals can Apply to be certified in:
Football-USA Football
Soccer- NSCAA
Wrestling-NWCA
Volleyball-USAV/AVCA
Spirit-AACCA

If the sport-specific course is not yet available, Level 1 Certification can be achieved by completing the course Teaching Sports Skills online.

Certified coaches will receive a 13 X 10 ½  wooden plaque with a four color certificate and an AIC lapel pin.

NOTE: The NFHS will develop sport-specific courses in all sports for which we write rules as well as golf and tennis. Basketball and Softball (USA Softball) are in development and will be available in 2010.
